Mislukt bij Celtic: Musonda geeft inkijk in toekomstplannen

Charly Musonda neemt in een uitgebreide post op Instagram de tijd om iedereen bij Celtic Glasgow te bedanken. Daarmee lijkt hij afscheid te nemen van de Schotse club.

Dat is opvallend, want Musonda tekende bij Celtic een huurcontract tot de zomer van 2019. De Schotse recordkampioen werd dit seizoen dan wel weer kampioen, de bijdrage van Musonda in dat kampioenschap was miniem. De Belg speelde niet meer dan acht wedstrijden.

In de heenronde mocht Musonda zijn debuut nog maken voor Chelsea. Na de winter werd toch besloten om hem uit te lenen. Na mislukte uitleenbeurten aan Betis Sevilla en Celtic Glasgow keert hij nu dus opnieuw terug naar Londen. De kans dat hij volgend seizoen wel een volwaardige kans krijgt bij Chelsea lijkt bijzonder klein. Een nieuwe uitleenbeurt wacht hoogstwaarschijnlijk.  

 

As I recover from a collar bone injury, Id like to take the time and reflect on the season, and say a massive thanks to all the staff, at Chelsea Football Club, and the boss Antonio Conte for giving me an opportunity to make my debut at the Bridge, and make a six year awaited dream come true. It only gave me a taste of how hard I’m expected to keep working to make more outings at Stamford Bridge, and therefor I will work. I would like to thank the manager for his guidance and support throughout my two years learning under him, I would like thank all the academy staff and players that helped me make my @premierleague debut and for awarding me with this ball. I would like to congratulate, the youth team for winning a 5th straight FA YOUTH Cup, and will be supporting our team for this week’s final. Last but not least I’d like to thank all of the Celtic family, spending the second half of the season in such a prestigious club with its incredible fans was an experience to cherish, to receive number 67 and have your incredible support, everywhere in Glasgow was amazing, I will never forget the noise of a European night at the Park, and to be a part of it and witness it first hand was an experience that’s made me more hungry for that stage, and that’s thanks to you, and the players that just won the league 7 times in a row, and hopefully a double treble, I will be a supporter of Celtic forever, I’d like to thank Brendan Rodgers for giving me that opportunity and guidance every single day, as I continue on my quest.
